First Lady Michelle Obama hosted First Kids' "State Dinner"

On August 20, the White House and First Lady Michelle Obama hosted the first ever kids "State Dinner" to promote the Healthy Lunchtime Challenge. The 54 winners of the contest were picked from their original lunchtime recipes that they entered on Epicurious.com. Each winner received a cookbook featuring all of the winning recipes from the contestants.

Winners of the contest came from all 50 states, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and the Northern Mariana Islands. The kids were allowed to bring one adult with them to the White House lunch. Recipes were judged on how creative, heathful, affordable and tasty they were.

Guys with Kids

 

Everyone is in competition to show off how guys manage and work alone with their kids. Apparently, it's either very hilarious or very troublesome. Guys With Kids stars Anthony Anderson, Tempestt Bledsoe (The Cosby Show), Jamie-Lynn Sigler (The Sopranos), Jesse Bradford, Zach Cregger and Erinn Hayes (Children's Hospital). The show, excutive produced by Jimmy Fallon, showcases men "trying" to take care of the babies, and premieres September 26 at 8:30 pm EST on NBC.

 

Hopefully, this show will portray what it's really like for the mothers who juggle so many tasks at a time, and the men who think it's "oh so easy!" I heard on the radio earlier this week about the "wussification of men", and one of the DJ's friends said that her husband couldn't watch more than one kid at a time... who does that?

 

Anyways, this should be seemingly interesting.
